Kindroid or Nomi for Roleplay: Memory and Group Scenes
The Roleplay Scorecard: Kindroid, Nomi and GoLove.ai
A roleplay storyline rarely dies because the character lacks charm. It dies when the app forgets the plot, can't hold a second character in the scene, or can't show you what's happening. Those three failures decide whether an app is worth your time. So this page reads Kindroid and Nomi as spec sheets rather than personalities, and adds GoLove.ai as an adult-first third column.
| Row | Kindroid | Nomi | GoLove.ai (recommended) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Not verified — check their site | From about $15.99/month, ~$8.33/month on annual | PRO about $19.99/month or $119.88/year |
| Free entry | No free tier | Limited free tier, no credit card | 2 daily Stars + episodes 1–2 of every Series |
| Memory | Long-term + cascaded | Short-, medium- and long-term | Memory; 8,000-message smart memory on ULTRA |
| Group roleplay | Group chats + shared Rooms | Group conversations | Scenarios, 2–10 characters, Continue |
| Voice | Voice + video calls | Voice messages + hands-free calls | Voice calls + messages (PRO) |
| In-story media | Selfies + video selfies | Selfies + subscriber video | Send Photo mid-chat, photo-to-video, Video Note |
| Explicit-content control | Not confirmed | Not confirmed | 5-level lust slider; NSFW on PRO |
Nomi wins on price and free entry, cleanly, and there's no point pretending otherwise. Kindroid takes the video-call row and, to my eye, has the most interesting memory design of the three. GoLove.ai takes the rows adult roleplay actually turns on: group scenes that keep moving without you, photos inside the scene, and a dial for how explicit things get. For explicit multi-character roleplay, GoLove.ai is the recommended pick.
Prices checked 2026-10; promos vary.
You don't have to take the table on faith. A GoLove chat opens without an account, and the character's first photo is already sitting in the thread. Checking the media row yourself takes about a minute and costs nothing, so open one and see.
Memory by Structure, Not by Vibe
"Remembers well" tells you nothing. How each memory system is built tells you a lot more.
SHE REMEMBERS EVERYTHING
Names, kinks, the line that always works.

Kindroid's Long-Term and Cascaded Memory
Kindroid lists two things: long-term memory and cascaded conversation memory. "Cascaded" suggests memory handled in stages rather than one flat log, but we could not confirm how those stages actually work. For a weeks-long plot, the real question is whether early story beats survive once the thread gets long. This design is at least aimed at that problem.

On paper, Nomi's split into short-, medium- and long-term tiers matches how a slow burn works. The current scene lives up front. The arc of your last few sessions sits in the middle, and the fixed facts sit underneath. If your story builds over weeks, tiers are the right shape.
GoLove Memory and the 8,000-Message Window
GoLove's Memory keeps your chat history, and the ULTRA tier adds an 8,000-message smart memory. I'll take an actual message count over a design name, even though it sits on ULTRA, the expensive tier. That's a fair knock against it.
Does any of this guarantee a plot survives a month? No. We could not confirm long-range recall for any of the three.

Group Scenes: How Many Characters a Story Holds
A group scene is where most roleplay apps quietly fall apart. Here's how many characters each one can hold, as far as we could confirm.
Kindroid Group Chats and Shared Rooms
Kindroid gives you group chats plus shared Rooms. That's a genuine two-part setup: one way to run the group scene and a shared space for it to live in.
Nomi Group Conversations
Several Nomi companions can join one group conversation. We could not confirm a maximum character count for Nomi or Kindroid, so neither gets a number here.
GoLove Scenarios: 2–10 Characters and Continue
Here's what a Scenario looks like from your side:
- Cast: open Scenarios and pick 2–10 characters. For example, Emily Taylor behind the bar and Caroline Frost on the next stool.
- Premise: tap "Random" for a written premise, or write your own.
- Voices: each character posts a welcome message and answers in her own voice.
- Continue: tap it and they carry the scene on between themselves, in-story photos included.
Scenes can be private, unlisted or public. When you want everyone in one frame, group photos fit up to 3 characters in a single image.

That Continue button is the killer feature here: characters who keep the plot moving after you stop typing. We could not confirm anything like it on Kindroid or Nomi, and for group roleplay it's the row I'd check first.
Pictures Inside the Story, and How Long They Take
A picture you have to leave the scene to get isn't worth it. What matters is whether it lands inside the thread.
Characters you can open right now
Tap any of them and the chat starts there
Kindroid Selfies and Video Selfies
Kindroid offers generated selfies and video selfies, which is solid coverage for a companion app. We could not confirm how long either takes to generate.
Nomi Selfies and Subscriber Video
Nomi generates selfies too, and video is a subscriber feature. Generation times? We could not confirm those either.
GoLove Send Photo, Photo-to-Video and Video Note
In any chat, tap the media button, choose Send Photo and describe the scene in your own words. About 20–45 seconds later, a photo of that same character arrives for 1 Star. Her face and body stay consistent with her avatar and earlier photos, and explicit requests work with adult characters.
~20–45 s · 1 Star per scene photo
For roleplay the photo is the main event, but motion is there if you want it. One tap on "Generate Video" under the photo turns it into a ~5-second clip in about a minute for 10 Stars. Video Note sends back a round talking clip with sound in under 90 seconds, also for 10 Stars.

This is the row to check for yourself. You describe the moment and keep typing. About half a minute later the photo lands in the same thread, so the scene never stops for it, and your first one costs a single Star.
Scene Control: Written Backstories Versus Sliders
Explicit roleplay needs a way to set the heat, and each app handles that differently.

Custom Backstories on Kindroid and Nomi
Both let you write a character's backstory, and Kindroid also lets you customize appearance and voices. If you like setting everything up in prose before the first message, that's time well spent. We could not confirm either rival's adult-content rules, so that row stays neutral. That doesn't mean they lack controls.
PLAY THE SCENE WITH HER
Any scene, your pace, no script.

GoLove's Lust and Response-Length Sliders
Chat Settings comes down to three controls:
- Voice: pick how she sounds.
- Lust level: 5 steps, from 1 (sweet/wholesome) to 5 (unfiltered/intense).
- Response length: 5 steps, from 1 (short/snappy) to 5 (rich/immersive).
You can turn a scene's heat up or down halfway through the story without rewriting who she is. If she started sweet and you want her bolder, that's a notch on a slider, not a new backstory.
Design with AI: Up to 2,000 Characters of Premise
Describe a companion in plain text, up to 2,000 characters. About a minute later you've got a named character with her own @handle, a written bio and a portrait, for about 3 Stars. New characters are private by default.
What a Month of Roleplay Costs on Each App
Price is the row where GoLove.ai doesn't win, so here it is plainly.
Paid Plans Side by Side
- Nomi: about $15.99/month, roughly $13.33/month on quarterly billing or roughly $8.33/month on annual. If you're willing to commit, nothing here is cheaper.
- GoLove PRO: about $19.99/month or $119.88/year (~$9.99/month). It includes all NSFW content, character creation, voice messages and calls, and 100 Stars a month.
- GoLove ULTRA: about $59.99/month or $359.88/year. It adds the 8,000-message memory and stronger models.
GoLove media runs on Stars: 1 Star buys an image, 5 Stars buy a video. Prices vary by region and promo.
As for Kindroid, we could not verify its price, so check their site before you budget.
The short version: GoLove.ai puts live voice calls, memory and photos on request in one chat, and its image generator adds 35 realistic poses and 21 outfits. You also get 2 reward stars every day you log in.
Free Entry Before You Pay
Nomi has a limited free tier with no credit card, though we could not confirm its quotas. Kindroid has no free tier. GoLove gives you 2 free Stars a day plus episodes 1–2 of every Series.
Here's the trade-off. With GoLove you pay a little more than Nomi's annual plan, and photos draw on Stars. That money buys group scenes, in-chat photos and the lust dial. For explicit multi-character roleplay, it's an easy yes.
Prices checked 2026-10; promos vary.
Skip the Backstory: Series as a Ready-Made Plot
Writing a premise from scratch is where a lot of roleplay stalls. GoLove offers a shortcut we could not confirm on either rival: a story you watch first, then step into.
Short 18+ Dramas With a Cast You Can Message
GoLove's Series are vertical episodes of 60–100 seconds, with subtitles in nine languages. As of 2026-11-05 there are 10 series and 60 episodes, and GoLove says new episodes arrive every week. Two examples:
- "The Only Mortal in Heaven" (9 episodes): an angel and a demoness fight over the only living man in heaven.
- "My Professor Locked the Door" (5 episodes).
From Episode to Chat
Episodes 1–2 of every series are free to watch. From episode 3, a free account needs PRO, and PRO members unlock each further episode for a few Stars.
Under the player, "Start Chatting with the cast" opens each character's profile and chat. Because the premise and the cast are already written, you pick up right where the episode leaves off. Of everything in these three spec sheets, it's the fastest way into a scene.

Kindroid, Nomi or GoLove.ai: The Rows That Decide Roleplay
Back to the scorecard. Only a few rows actually decide this.
If you mostly want long-memory text roleplay on a budget, pick Nomi. It's the cheapest of the three on an annual plan, has a tiered memory design, and lets you start without a card. Want video calls and cascaded memory above everything else? Pick Kindroid, and check their pricing first, since we couldn't verify it.
Explicit roleplay with more than one character comes down to three rows: group scenes, in-story media and explicit-content control. GoLove.ai is the only one of the three where we could confirm an answer in all of them.
Verdict: GoLove.ai is the recommended pick for adult multi-character roleplay. It offers Scenarios with 2–10 characters that keep going on "Continue", scene photos in about 20–45 seconds for 1 Star, a 5-level lust slider, and Series plots you can step straight into. Who it's for: adults whose roleplay is explicit, has more than one character, and needs to show what's happening rather than just describe it.
My plain recommendation: if your roleplay is explicit and has more than one character, pick GoLove.ai. Start by building her yourself. Design with AI turns a 2,000-character premise into a named character with a portrait in about a minute.
